This past week three of our employees attended the ASPPA Conference in Maryland. By all accounts it was a successful event spent socializing with peers in the industry through yard games, arcade games, and karaoke as well as learning new things along the way.

David J. Kupstas spoke at two breakout sessions, one entitled “FASB Update” and the other entitled “Don’t Fear an IRS Audit.”  In addition, the three of them facilitated two breakout sessions each, which entailed introducing the speaker(s), monitoring time, and bringing the microphone to audience members to ask questions.

They attended general sessions, including Washington Update, The Demand for DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) in 2021 and Beyond, and Ask the Experts.  Each of them attended breakout sessions based on their areas of practice and interest.  David J. Kupstas was a contestant (and winner) in “Current Events – Brain Game,” which featured questions about recent government guidance in the style of the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" game.
